My four wheel driving days began with a single cab 1982 Hilux tray back. I bought it because all my mates had 4wd's and I wanted to get out there with them. So I brought this cheapo Hilux and it was then that the 4wd bug had bitten. It was a great little ute, nothing too flash, but it was my daily driver, and my weekend fun machine. I was new to the 4wd scene, and it was probably obvious in the way I treated my car. It was unfairly mistreated, under serviced, left out in the weather, but I didnt care, all I needed was music. Spotties were the first mod, then a thumping stereo that I pulled out of the wifes car, and I was off. Bright lights and loud music. No maintenance, driven like it was stolen, but she just kept goin. I ended up selling it to a farmer in Victoria for a paddock basher once the kids came along.
